ED officer removed due to negligence in Abhishek Banerjee's cases appeals for reinstatement in other cases

In a recent development, an Assistant Director-level officer of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed an application with Calcutta High Court seeking reconsideration of the court's decision to remove him from all cases in the state. The officer, Mithilesh Kumar Mishra, faced removal by High Court Judge Amrita Sinha on charges of negligence in investigating cases, particularly those related to the recruitment case  related to  Abhishek Banerjee.

On September 29, Judge Sinha had ordered Mishra's removal from all cases in the state, following a public reprimand on September 17 where she expressed her dissatisfaction with his investigative capabilities and lack of confidence. Mishra now appeals to the court to allow him to remain in charge of other state affairs despite his removal from recruitment case investigations.
